*sigh*
So I went to Calgary on June 17 and was picked up by my bff,

and her husband. We went out for breakfast at Denny's, paid for our BIG trip, and then went to The Camera Store. There, I purchased my Digital SLR, a Canon Rebel XSi. Sorry, it was a great deal so it beat out the Sony...its been pretty easy to learn, and of course, the images are just wonderful!
Anyway, after that we went to Calgary zoo and I had such a great time snapping pics with my old Samsung point and click, and seeing all the animals. Calgary zoo is a GREAT zoo. Unlike our zoo..
Anyway we were at the zoo until probably 5:40 PM and then headed back to the apartment to get the tickets to COLDPLAY!!! We also exchanged some gifts!

Then we headed back out around 6, Kels dropped us off one block away from the Saddledome.
As soon as we got in we waited in line to get souvenirs. I got a ColdPlay tour shirt and "Fidel" Viva La Vida hat which WAS THE LAST HAT IN THE WHOLE STADIUM. Its olive green and matches my olive green purse! All the while, we were missing the opening act. After we got our souvenirs, we grabbed a burger at a stand, and went to our seats. THE SECOND opening act was Snow Patrol, and they were awesome! Im a potential new fan! Finally, after they finished there was a brief intermission.
The second to last song played during the intermission was "Magnificent" by U2 which is a song I really like. I said to Gwyn, "Isnt that U2?" and shes a fan! She says, "nope" after listening to it a bit. But I googled it the other day and discovered I was right. After Magnificent, it was The Blue Danube. It was cute because audience members were waving their hands like orchestra conductors! XD THEN the place went dark and we started screaming like crazy and those of us on the right of the stage could see Coldplay run out on stage!!
I dont want to go into a lot of detail because it'd be so long, but the show was incredible.
The following morning we went to The Great Canadian Bagel for breakfast and got a cupcake at Crave and a coffee at Starbucks.
But to make a long story short, this Sunday my back pack was stolen out of our car trunk. I lost my digital Samsung camera with all my zoo pics and Coldplay pics/vids, my Nintendo DS, 2 games, my ColdPlay SHIRT (BUT NOT HAT, that was in my suitcase), my JEANS, my JEAN JACKET, my 200$ corioliss flat iron, my house keys(dont worry no address), my CASUAL SHOES, my IPOD USB cord, my head phones, (BUT NOT MY IPOD), ALL GONE.
I was pretty much devastated. YOu know, you can replace most of that stuff, but it ALL ADDS UP, and Im just a lowly MINIMUM WAGE EARNER, saving up hard for my first big trip, and to have THIS happen to me is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BLOW. And for people to steal the stuff I worked hard for that THEY didnt work for is REALLY insulting and devastating. Besides that, I took a quiz on facebook recently "What decade best fits you" that described me as "hardworking" and a friend A FRIEND of mine says "Im sorry but I just have to say it. HARD WORKING? LOLOLOLOLOL" SO that was like a slap in the face, a spit in the eye, and salt in the wound when Im mourning the loss of stuff I WORKED HARD FOR. (I had a reputation for being a lazy teenager, but seriously?? IM THIRTY NOW, THANK YOU)
But its the stuff I cant replace- The photos and video clips that I will forever be angry and hurt about. These people are such scum, horrible, horrible scum. I hope they get blisters on their feet from my old shoes (they were actually really uncomfortable). I hope they ....just...yeah...
Well thats about it. Ive replaced a lot of that stuff already, and a friend gave me her flat iron(which is awesome) but I have yet to replace the actual back pack, a few keychains, a similar camera, and my DS...those were the more expensive things.
SO yeah Im pretty broken hearted right now.
